Software Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fintech): Building and maintaining technology for the trading life cycle, including trading systems, risk controls, and post-trade technologies with an accent on scalability and performance. Location: Hybrid (London, UK). Must work from the London office at least 3 days a week.

Salary: £120,000 – £150,000

What you will do

• Partner with internal end-users to understand requirements and engineer efficient technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain the company's proprietary software stack using C++, Python, and Java.
• Identify, assess, and deploy open-source and third-party software in on-prem and cloud environments.
• Build and maintain systems enabling all parts of the trading life cycle, including risk controls and post-trade technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
• Significant programming experience in C++, Python, or Java.
• Experience capturing requirements and scoping solutions directly with users or clients.
• Ability to design complex software systems and select pragmatic technologies to meet business objectives.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the London office at least 3 days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience working with trading systems or financial data.
