Data Engineer (Snowflake)

What you will do

• Document and convert legacy Talend jobs and reconciliation rules into Snowflake-native logic.
• Develop dbt models and Snowpark functions to replace legacy ETL stacks.
• Implement automated data validation and quality monitoring surfaces via a Streamlit UI dashboard.
• Build diagnostic tools to test full-stack software health and end-to-end data connectivity.
• Maintain up-to-date data lineage documentation for the entire pipeline.
• Collaborate with AI coding tools to accelerate and validate the migration process.

Requirements

• Must be based in Argentina, Brazil, or Colombia.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering with hands-on ETL development and migration.
• Strong proficiency in dbt and SQL-based transformation patterns.
• Practical experience with Snowflake and Snowpark (Python or Java).
• Prior experience with legacy ETL tools such as Talend, SSIS, or Informatica.
• Experience with data diff/migration tooling like Datafold.

Nice to have

• Experience building data quality monitoring or observability layers.
• Comfortability reviewing and validating AI-generated code.
