What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Kotlin, Java, and Spring.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs for microservices within a Kubernetes environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features.
• Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex full-stack issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Contribute to a fail-fast culture through experimentation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java (or Kotlin) and Spring 3+.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka, and RESTful API development.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted code development.
• Strong focus on code quality, including unit and integration testing.
• English: Very good speaking and writing skills required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
