What you will do

  • Own and evolve infrastructure with a focus on reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Partner with engineers to debug production issues and design scalable systems.
  • Define and evolve SLIs and SLOs to measure and improve system reliability.
  • Maintain and improve deployment pipelines and address production failures.
  • Build and maintain observability systems including metrics, logs, and traces.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and drive incident reviews for system improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience, including 1+ year in a DevOps or SRE role.
  • Experience scaling and operating production web applications in a TypeScript/NodeJS environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, specifically Postgres.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Mimir, OpenTelemetry, or Grafana.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Experience running systems in a cloud environment, preferably GCP.
