What you will do
- Lead the engineering design, specification, procurement, and commissioning of large-scale power generation systems (50MW+).
- Develop and optimize power generation strategies for maximum reliability and cost-effectiveness for 24/7 AI workloads.
- Manage and grow a multidisciplinary team of power generation, mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers.
- Partner with Site Selection, Construction, and Operations teams on new data center campuses.
- Evaluate and implement technologies including natural gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery storage, and fuel cells.
- Oversee technical due diligence for utility interconnects and power purchase agreements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in power generation engineering and project delivery.
- 4+ years of experience in people management or technical leadership.
- Deep expertise in gas turbine, reciprocating engine, or combined-cycle power plant design.
- Proven success delivering large-scale power projects on time and on budget.
- Ability to work onsite in Southaven, MS and travel to other sites as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting hyperscale data centers or AI infrastructure.
- Background working with EPC contractors and major OEMs like GE, Siemens, or Wärtsilä.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or an advanced degree.
- Knowledge of energy markets, microgrids, and hydrogen-ready systems.
