What you will do

• Design and build foundational backend infrastructure including authentication, permissions, feature flagging, and notifications.
• Evolve the internal product platform to accelerate development across multiple product lines.
• Lead the development of enterprise-facing features such as secure multi-party collaboration and admin controls.
• Ensure high standards for security, privacy, and system reliability when handling sensitive legal data.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, AI, and design teams to deliver enterprise-ready experiences.

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend-focused software engineering experience on platform or product teams.
• Experience shipping user-facing features with measurable impact across the stack.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, REST/gRPC APIs, databases, and scalable architectures.
• Must have valid Canadian work rights; company does not offer visa sponsorship.
• Solid programming skills and general Computer Science knowledge.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS patterns such as RBAC and feature flag systems.
• Experience building backend platforms that support multiple product lines.
