What you will do

• Perform deep-dive analysis across diverse datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.
• Design and maintain scalable data models and reporting frameworks to support business intelligence.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and integrations using IBM DB2, Oracle, Netezza, and MS SQL Server.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and actionable data solutions.
• Support AI/ML initiatives by preparing data and contributing to model development and deployment.
• Create advanced dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and MS Excel.

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills.
• Extensive experience with enterprise databases: DB2, Oracle, Netezza, and SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and system design principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and the model lifecycle.
• Must be based in or have the right to work in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
