TL;DR

Senior Data Analytics Consultant (Power BI): Developing and enhancing data analytics and visualization solutions for a DHS CISA program with an accent on Power BI dashboards, SQL data modeling, and federal financial reporting. Focus on translating complex federal datasets into actionable insights and automating reporting workflows using Power Automate.

Location: Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder with at least three years of U.S. residency

What you will do

  • Create and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business and technical stakeholders.
  • Develop reusable project dashboards to provide real-time visibility into status, risks, and technical milestones.
  • Clean, transform, and model data from multiple sources using Power Query and SQL to support decision-making.
  • Automate repetitive tasks, such as status report generation and notifications, utilizing Power Automate.
  • Communicate complex data findings and recommendations to stakeholders to support strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and dashboard development.
  • Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query (including M language) for complex data modeling.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, integration, and query optimization.
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder status with at least three years of U.S. residency.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust eligibility and/or client suitability.

Nice to have

  • Experience with federal financial, budget, or procurement data and FFMS systems.
  • Understanding of the congressional budget cycle.
  • Experience with SQL Server, Azure, Python, or R for data analysis.
  • Prior experience supporting DHS, CISA, or other federal consulting environments.
