What you will do

• Set the technical vision and roadmap for the data team, balancing long-term strategy with short-term delivery.
• Architect, build, and optimize data backend services and tools for data-driven game development.
• Lead the development of data agents and AI-powered tooling to simplify how gamemakers explore and act on data.
• Mentor and grow the engineering team, supporting career development and maintaining a high technical bar.
• Continuously improve engineering practices and automate workflows to ensure services are easy to deploy and scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build solutions that enhance the experience for both players and developers.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a senior or staff backend/data engineer with a track record of tech-leading teams.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and experience building them on cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Python, Go, and GCP.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, agents, or AI-assisted tooling.
• Ability to set technical direction while remaining hands-on with the code.
• Professional English communication skills
