Data Engineer (1-year Fixed Term) (AI)

Data Engineer (AI): Designing and implementing scalable data platforms and AI-ready semantic layers with an accent on automated data pipelines and agentic technologies. Focus on building AI agents to automate business processes and ensuring data integrity through strict data contracts.

Location: Hybrid in Warsaw, Poland (4 days per month in office). Applicants must be eligible to work and live in Poland

What you will do

• Create and monitor data pipelines using AI-assisted ETL techniques to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Design and implement an AI-ready semantic layer for the data serving layer.
• Develop AI agents to automate repeatable processes and provide first-line support for end-users.
• Build integrations with internal and external data sources, enforcing data contracts and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with data scientists, DevOps, and architects to bring new features and services into production.
• Support BI teams in efficient data modeling and improve operational practices.

Requirements

• Proven 2 years of experience in distributed data processing pipelines OR expertise in SQL, database design, and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Experience with data orchestration, version control (Git), and CI/CD (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and tools like Azure Data Factory or Databricks.
• English proficiency required.
• Must be eligible to work and live in Poland.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure cloud, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience creating AI agents and designing agentic infrastructure and workflows.
