What you will do

• Build components and service APIs using Ruby on Rails and React to integrate features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to identify requirements and solve technical challenges.
• Apply design patterns and best practices to ensure quality, scalability, and system performance.
• Leverage AI-powered IDEs like Copilot and Cursor to analyze code, develop features, and debug.
• Support the engineering practice through code reviews, pair programming, and hiring efforts.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep proficiency in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as RSpec and React Testing Library.
• Experience working with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and integrating external APIs.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Must have lived and worked in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog.
• Experience with React Native or other cross-platform mobile frameworks.
• Familiarity with the U.S. Web Design System or experience working with government agencies.
• U.S. Veteran status.
