Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 USD

What you will do

• Design and build systems and web applications to increase productivity across the user base.
• Develop a "co-scientist" ecosystem including Discovery, Grants, Data Analyst, Writing, and Impact AI agents.
• Build a fast and scalable peer review system to identify and distribute high-quality academic works.
• Rapidly prototype products from 0 to 1, shipping fast to gather real user feedback.
• Collaborate across disciplines and solve complex problems autonomously with various stakeholders.

Requirements

• Professional coding proficiency in Ruby, Python, or Node.js (must be willing to work with the Ruby on Rails stack).
• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Strong understanding of LLMs and their limitations.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and a product-oriented mindset.
• Sharp analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency with React and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with AWS ecosystem (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.), CircleCI, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Experience with RSpec, Chromatic, Jest, and Storybook.
