Registered Nurse Critical Care (Medical)

Location: Onsite: Must be able to rotate to all AHN hospitals in Pennsylvania, including Pittsburgh metro area (Allegheny General, Allegheny Valley, Canonsburg, Forbes, Jefferson, West Penn, and Wexford) and Northwestern PA (Grove City and St. Vincent Hospital).

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive assessments, plan, and implement nursing care for critically ill individuals and families.
• Rotate across various AHN inpatient facilities as part of the Internal Staffing Team (IST).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care and implement patient safety initiatives.
• Delegate tasks to LPNs and support staff based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Mentor peers and provide constructive verbal and written feedback to maintain high standards of clinical practice.
• Manage rotating shifts with 24/7 coverage using effective time management skills.

Requirements

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance.
• CPR Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in an inpatient travel capacity.

Nice to have

• Certification in a specialty area of nursing.
• 2 years of Critical Care RN experience.
• 1 year of travel nursing experience.
