CPU Verification Fellow (RISC-V)

TL;DR

CPU Verification Fellow (RISC-V): Leading verification strategy and execution for next-generation high-performance RISC-V processors with an accent on out-of-order and speculative microarchitectures. Focus on defining scalable methodologies across simulation, formal verification, emulation, and silicon bring-up.

Location: Hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX. Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology.

Compensation: $100k - $500k (including base and variable targets)

What you will do

• Lead verification strategy and execution for next-generation RISC-V high-performance processors.
• Drive verification planning for out-of-order, speculative, and superscalar microarchitectures.
• Build and scale test plans, coverage, checkers, assertions, and constrained-random environments.
• Verify key CPU features including frontend, branch prediction, rename, scheduling, execution, and cache hierarchy.
• Partner with architecture, RTL, performance modeling, SoC, firmware, and compiler teams while mentoring senior engineers.

Requirements

• Deep experience verifying high-performance superscalar CPUs, specifically out-of-order and speculative processors.
• Strong knowledge of RISC-V architecture, including ISA compliance, virtual memory, and vector extensions.
• High proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, constrained-random verification, assertions, and functional coverage.
• Hands-on experience with CPU reference models, instruction generators, or differential testing.
• Practical expertise with formal verification and large-scale CPU verification environments.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology (contingent upon citizenship/residency status).
