What you will do

• Build and scale backend infrastructure in Rust for data ingestion integrations covering logs, metrics, traces, and profiles.
• Develop and maintain an extensions platform for customer-deployed dashboards, alerts, and parsing rules.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features from initial research and design through to production.
• Contribute high-quality code to a shared Angular frontend codebase to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Utilize AI tools and agentic workflows to accelerate design, debugging, and testing processes.
• Maintain system reliability through on-call readiness and incident lifecycle management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience in backend code using Rust or JVM languages.
• 5+ years of experience developing and operating backend systems in production environments.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Kafka.
• Comfortability working with AI-assisted development while maintaining strict production standards for security and performance.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with incident detection, investigation, and resolution processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with functional programming and modern effect systems like ZIO or Cats Effect.
• Familiarity with gRPC and Protobuf.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
