Salary: $170,350 – $275,550 + Equity

What you will do

• Design and operate the core agent execution runtime for scheduling and lifecycle management of agentic workflows.
• Develop multi-agent coordination patterns, including task handoff, agent memory, and tool use.
• Build prompt engineering tooling and context window management strategies for stateful interactions.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes (Helm) in AWS or OCI.
• Lead incident response, define SLOs, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.
• Partner with leadership to set technical direction and mentor engineers as the team grows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Proven experience operating production services in AWS or OCI (compute, networking, IAM, and cost management).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and scalability in cloud-native environments.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go, Python, Rust, or Java.
• Must be based in the USA (West Coast time zone prioritized).

Nice to have

• Professional proficiency in Go.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) server design.
• Hands-on experience building AI agent systems or LLM-as-judge frameworks.
• Contributions to relevant open source projects.
