Content Strategist (Aviation)

TL;DR

Content Strategist (Enterprise): Leading a company intranet content renovation initiative for a leader in the aviation industry with an accent on content audits and information architecture. Focus on reorganizing employee-facing content, developing governance recommendations, and improving the overall employee-centered experience.

Location: Hybrid (1-2 days onsite in Downtown Chicago, IL). Candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. (no H-1B, no C2C).

What you will do

• Lead content discovery sessions and stakeholder conversations to identify content needs and priorities.
• Audit existing enterprise content to assess accuracy, relevance, and employee value.
• Develop content strategies, briefs, page outlines, and restructuring plans.
• Write and organize content while establishing standards for clarity, tone, and naming conventions.
• Partner with Design teams on information architecture, navigation, and content flow.
• Identify ownership gaps and recommend scalable governance practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Content Strategy, UX Writing, or Information Architecture.
• Proven experience with enterprise intranet initiatives or large-scale content reorganizations.
• Strong skills in auditing and improving large volumes of digital content.
• Knowledge of user-centered content principles and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA).
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Portfolio or work samples are required for consideration.
