Junior Software Engineer (Elixir)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain APIs and services across hirify.global’s engineering teams.
• Debug production issues across gateway, authentication, network, and application layers.
• Collaborate with other engineering squads to build new large-scale features.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, processes, observability, and reliability.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of professional software development experience with an object-oriented or functional language (Elixir preferred).
• Strong interest in functional programming and a desire to become an Elixir expert.
• Experience working with relational databases at scale.
• Understanding of concurrent and distributed programming challenges.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture patterns and anti-patterns.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Consul, Prometheus, Grafana, and/or RabbitMQ.

Nice to have

• Experience building or operating customer-facing APIs, gateways, auth systems, or internal platforms.
• Experience with Envoy.
• Interest in working in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
