What you will do

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and backend services using Rust.
• Build systems to reconcile and unify charging station data across multiple global providers into a single authoritative dataset.
• Scale the data ingestion pipeline to ensure higher reliability and throughput.
• Design data validation and quality systems to maintain the accuracy of charging station attributes and live availability.
• Develop internal tooling and dashboards to monitor data health and facilitate corrections.
• Collaborate with product owners and downstream teams to drive the future direction of the data platform.

Requirements

• Must be based in Japan
• Strong proficiency in Rust (3+ years) for production backend services.
• Experience building highly available services and data pipelines in AWS using Docker, ECS, Fargate, or Kubernetes.
• Deep knowledge of data engineering concepts, including pipeline design and large-scale processing.
• Expertise in distributed systems, focusing on fault-tolerance, consistency, and service discovery.
• Professional communication skills in English
