Electronics Engineer (IoT)

TL;DR

Electronics Engineer (IoT): Owning the feedback loop between deployed fleet and engineering teams to ensure hardware failures drive systemic improvements with an accent on root cause analysis and reliability engineering. Focus on developing test jigs, tracking reliability KPIs, and implementing design-for-repairability (DFR) and design-for-testability (DFT) methodologies.

What you will do

• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations on hardware failures in the deployed fleet.
• Develop specialized tools and jig tests for component validation and debugging.
• Track and report reliability KPIs to identify and mitigate systemic issues.
• Provide DFR and DFT feedback to R&D based on real-world field data.
• Support DVT/EVT/PVT build phases and contribute to FMEA reviews.
• Collaborate with Industrialization and Production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with PCB/PCBA design, bring-up, or validation.
• Solid expertise in electronics fault isolation and RCA methodologies.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering concepts including FMEA and KPI reporting.
• Must be based in or able to work from Lisbon, Portugal.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded systems, microcontroller debugging, and protocols (UART, SPI, I2C).
• Knowledge of NPI processes and experience working with EMS or ODM partners.
• Familiarity with HALT/HASS testing methodologies.
