What you will do

• Architect and scale scientific papers into high-performing ML algorithms and robust scientific code.
• Lead the ideation, benchmarking, and execution of complex datasets and ML models within large-scale simulation frameworks.
• Implement advanced software and hardware optimizations to maximize efficiency across distributed cloud GPU environments.
• Drive the entire product lifecycle from foundational research and implementation to launch and long-term support.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom (compensation based on geographic tiers).
• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related quantitative field focused on advanced computational methods.
• 5+ years of industry experience developing productionized software in professional teams.
• Proven experience training and optimizing large-scale ML pipelines on distributed cloud GPUs using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Deep familiarity with agentic coding tools such as Claude code or Codex.
• Experience bridging the gap between research code and production-grade software for external-facing products.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in biopharma or training leading-edge affinity, structure-prediction, or generative chemistry models.
• Proven track record of launching successful commercial software products.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices on major cloud platforms for automated scaling and monitoring.
• Experience working in interdisciplinary environments intersecting AI with physical or biological sciences.
