Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Security Analyst (Cybersecurity): Supporting security programs across regulated (FedRAMP) and non-regulated environments with an accent on security operations, vulnerability management, and compliance support. Focus on monitoring security alerts using Datadog and Wiz, conducting control assessments for audits, and implementing security controls in AWS infrastructure.

Location: Hybrid out of Raleigh (USA) or Montreal (Canada)

What you will do

• Monitor and triage security alerts using Datadog, SIEM platforms, and other monitoring solutions.
• Manage vulnerability assessment programs, tracking remediation across cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Conduct security control assessments and prepare technical documentation and evidence for audits.
• Investigate security incidents, document findings, and support incident response activities.
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and Product teams to implement and verify security controls.
• Develop tooling for the security team and contribute to policy development and awareness training.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in information security or security operations.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security, primarily AWS.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools, log analysis, and incident response.
• Must be based in or be able to work hybrid from Raleigh or Montreal.

Nice to have

• Experience with Wiz, Datadog, Jira, EDRs, and SIEM platforms.
• Security certifications such as Security+, GSEC, OSCP, or CISSP.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security automation.
• Scripting or programming experience in TypeScript or .NET.
