Cybersecurity Engineer

TL;DR

Cybersecurity Engineer (Cloud/DoD): Implementing and maintaining security controls for a high-volume, mission-critical data processing platform with an accent on compliance, vulnerability management, and cloud-native security. Focus on integrating security into system design, ensuring DoD framework adherence, and securing containerized environments within highly regulated environments.

Location: Must be based in Patrick Space Force Base, FL (Onsite)

What you will do

• Implement and maintain security controls across cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Ensure compliance with DoD security frameworks including RMF and NIST 800-53.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate security into system design and development.
• Manage vulnerability scanning, remediation, and security assessments.
• Support identity and access management principles and least privilege implementation.
• Maintain security documentation including SSPs and POA&Ms.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship with active DoW clearance and TS/SCI eligibility required.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with DoD security frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53).
• CompTIA Security+ certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Experience with vulnerability management and container security.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud (GCP).
• Background in DevSecOps and CI/CD security integration.
• Experience with Linux-based systems.
• Prior work with U.S. Federal Government or DoW programs.
