What you will do

• Design and optimize distributed systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Build and maintain large-scale computing solutions handling millions of concurrent players.
• Develop efficient database structures and queries for high-volume, real-time transactions.
• Deliver high-performance backend services with a focus on low latency and stability.
• Partner with engineering and design teams to enable seamless online gameplay experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend and server-side systems.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and solid understanding of OOP principles.
• Proficiency in Python (strongly preferred) or other scripting languages (PHP, Perl, Ruby).
• Experience with multithreaded programming in large-scale, real-time environments.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience developing secure transaction systems, virtual currency, and account-based features.
• Skills in database optimization, connection management, and query performance tuning.
• Familiarity with online gaming architectures and service design for live player experiences.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Previous video game console development experience.
