What you will do

• Migrate under-performing GDScript systems to C++ to improve performance and maintainability.
• Design and implement simulation logic using the Flecs ECS framework.
• Profile simulation workloads and apply multithreading techniques to optimize frame time.
• Develop robust serialization and state replication systems for distributed simulation support.
• Collaborate with the team to translate complex simulation requirements into high-performance technical solutions.

Requirements

• Professional experience with modern C++ (C++17/20), emphasizing performance and memory management.
• Proficiency with Entity Component System (ECS) architectures, preferably Flecs.
• Solid understanding of linear algebra, physics, and simulation mathematics.
• Commitment to writing clean, testable, and efficient code.
• Must be based in or independently relocate to New York State.

Nice to have

• Experience with Godot and GDScript.
• Knowledge of distributed simulation, networking, or multi-server architectures.
• Advanced expertise in concurrency and lock-free data structures.
• Experience mentoring less experienced developers.
