Salary: $155,000 - $190,000 yearly

What you will do

• Research and develop tools and services for the studio’s rendering needs for features, shorts, and VFX.
• Advance the state-of-the-art MoonRay rendering technology.
• Adapt physically-based path tracing techniques to achieve stylized looks.
• Optimize code and algorithms for efficiency and scalability across single and multiple machines.
• Collaborate with artists to improve rendering technology for movie production.

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience in a graphics or rendering engineering role.
• 3+ years of experience in Monte Carlo raytracing and global illumination.
• Strong proficiency in core C/C++ software development for rendering or lighting tools.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
• Understanding of parallel programming models.

Nice to have

• Experience in GPU and CPU rendering.
• Experience in VFX/animation pipelines.
• Experience in open-source software development.
• Familiarity with SIMD/SPMD vectorization.
• Familiarity with applied machine-learning techniques in graphics.
