What you will do

• Oversee design and validation for sensing system hardware, calibrations, and application software.
• Lead Product Development Team (PDT) meetings to coordinate hardware integration into vehicles.
• Author Engineering Work Orders and maintain Component Technical Specifications (CTS).
• Manage supplier resident engineers and coordinate cross-functional sourcing activities.
• Troubleshoot component and vehicle-level issues using PRTS-Jira.
• Support DFMEA development and maintain Interface Control Document (ICD) strategies.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
• Must be based in Warren, Michigan
• Broad technical knowledge of vehicle sensing hardware and sensing strategies.
• Experience in design release engineering or similar automotive hardware roles.
• Ability to perform complex design analysis and manage math/CAD data.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience with automotive PPAP quality processes.
• DFSS Black Belt Certification or Red X experience.
• Design/Development experience with safety-critical systems.
