What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to address emotional concerns, financial toxicity, and caregiver demands.
• Provide immediate support and therapeutic interventions during behavioral health crises and prognosis changes.
• Identify and connect patients and families with critical community resources for complex social needs.
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and specialists to ensure coordinated care and treatment adherence.
• Advocate for patients with insurance companies and healthcare providers to access necessary services.
• Lead support groups and provide education on cancer-related topics for patients and families.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Valid and current master’s level license (e.g., LISW, LCSW) in the state of practice.
• Must be based in the US.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in oncology, palliative, or hospice care.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as required.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, and electronic health records (EHR).

Nice to have

• OSW-C or APHSW-C certifications.
• Experience working within a startup or tech-forward company.
