Technical Coordinator

Technical Coordinator: Supporting live, recorded, and hybrid productions from the Milan newsroom and studios with an accent on technical readiness, workflow design, and vendor coordination. Focus on ensuring uninterrupted technical leadership and on-air quality, deputizing for the Technical Producer as needed.

What you will do

• Propose state-of-the-art technical solutions that are robust, scalable, and economically sustainable.
• Co-design and implement new production workflows, including remote production (REMI) and hybrid setups.
• Manage operational relationships with equipment rental houses, technical facilities, and freelance technicians across Italy.
• Lead and support technical breakdowns, site surveys, equipment planning, testing, and rehearsals.
• Perform technical QC on audio and video signals during rehearsals and live shows.
• Act as a communication bridge between editorial teams and the technical supply chain.

Requirements

• Solid broadcast engineering background: video/audio signal flows, SDI and IP infrastructures.
• Proven hands-on live experience in studios, control rooms / galleries, and OBvan operations.
• Working knowledge of remote production (REMI), cloud-based production tools, and contribution/distribution technologies.
• Experience with hybrid production setups combining broadcast and consumer/prosumer devices.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Calm and composed under pressure, with a structured problem-solving approach.
