QA Engineer (Energy)

QA Engineer (Energy): Overseeing quality assurance and inspection for a first-of-a-kind Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES) facility with an accent on MEI construction and safety-critical systems. Focus on developing Quality Plans, conducting welding and NDT inspections, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

What you will do

• Prepare and review Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and supporting QA documentation.
• Provide technical QA support and review vendor and supplier quality plans.
• Coordinate material certification, welding, and NDT requirements across M, E & I disciplines.
• Liaise with Welding Engineers, Project Engineers, and 3rd party inspectors to coordinate the inspection function.
• Perform internal and external quality auditing and maintain records within the Business Management System (BMS).
• Monitor and review quality performance against KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• CSWIP Level 3.1 Welding Inspector certification.
• PCN level 2 – MPI / DPI.
• Recognised Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001).
• Strong background in Engineering and QA/QC with knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Ability to read and understand isometric drawings, pipe standards, and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and strong report writing skills.

Nice to have

• ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
• Radiograph Interpretation certification.
