What you will do

• Build and evolve systems for provider search, ranking, availability, and booking experiences to improve the patient funnel.
• Design durable, scalable, and secure distributed systems that directly impact how patients experience care.
• Lead high-priority technical projects from conception through delivery, navigating trade-offs and aligning stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Patient Matching team to bring order to ambiguity and deliver software quickly.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a high-performing engineering culture through code reviews and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience scaling web applications in production.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, and Node.js, with a strong grasp of functional and OOP.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex, distributed systems.
• Must be based in the United States, excluding Hawaii.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience developing or integrating LLM-based features or agentic workflows into production.
• Advanced knowledge of database design and performance tuning for PostgreSQL and non-relational stores.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
• Experience transitioning from monolithic architectures to microservices or event-driven systems.
