Chassis Controls Calibration Engineer (Automotive): Developing and delivering vehicle dynamics performance for chassis and brake controls with an accent on the application of actively controlled technologies like ABS, TCS, and ESC. Focus on in-vehicle performance evaluation, deep technical data analysis, and optimizing control algorithms using simulation and HiL benches.
Location: Hybrid (Milford, Michigan). Must be based in the US; no immigration sponsorship provided.

What you will do
- Calibrate and integrate performance features to meet vehicle requirements and program milestones.
- Collaborate with algorithm teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and institutionalize Calibration Standard Work, including processes and procedures.
- Transition vehicle-based tasks into virtual, HiL, and CoSim workpackages to improve efficiency.
- Support technical peer reviews and resolve vehicle, plant, and customer issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with government regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in vehicle dynamics, chassis performance, or complex feature calibration.
- Physics-based knowledge of brake systems, tire performance, and propulsion systems.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle instrumentation and data acquisition tools.
- Ability to travel for cold weather testing (6–8 weeks) and various ride trips throughout the year.
- Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with in-vehicle tools such as INCA and NeoVI.
- Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and simulation tools like CarSim or CarMaker.
- Prior experience specifically within Brake Controls.
- GM Level 3 or higher and OR1/OR2 driver qualification.
