What you will do

• Develop full-stack features using Python/Django, React/Redux, and analytical databases like PostgreSQL and ClickHouse.
• Maintain and extend data pipelines for ingesting, annotating, and loading genomic data.
• Collaborate with computational biologists, clinicians, and researchers to translate requirements into engineered solutions.
• Assist with cloud deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance using GCP, Docker, and Terraform.
• Write tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with a Master's degree.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Comfortable working across backend, database, and frontend layers.
• Availability to be in the office at least twice per week in Cambridge, MA.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or related analytical databases.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Terraform, and Helm.
• Experience in genomics, bioinformatics, or clinical data environments (HIPAA, PHI).
• Experience with the Hail genomic data processing framework.
