Staff Accountant (Forensic Accounting)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid

Salary: €33,500–€40,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze sales, production, accounting, and invoice data from preliminary to intermediate levels.
• Observe physical inventories and perform price testing.
• Examine source documents related to forensic accounting engagements.
• Check and proof reports, schedules, and supporting analysis.
• Conduct phone, video, and in-person interviews to obtain information.
• Research, evaluate data, assess loss events, and attend client marketing events.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Spanish is required.
• Understanding of Spanish general accounting principles (PGC).
• Previous professional work experience with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Nice to have

• Additional language skills.
• Interest in developing a career in forensic accounting.
