What you will do

• Process complex medical ROI requests using internal software and various EMR systems.
• Interpret medical records, authorizations, and legal forms to ensure accurate documentation retrieval.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for HIPAA-related release issues.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to other ROI specialists.
• Manage queues and support multiple client accounts simultaneously to ensure operational efficiency.
• Maintain and update training and reference materials for the ROI department.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in medical records, ROI, or Health Information Management (HIM).
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and state/federal regulations regarding protected health information.
• Fluency in multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
• Ability to work independently and consistently exceed volume and quality standards.
