Engineering Leader (Kubernetes)

TL;DR

Engineering Manager (Kubernetes/PaaS): Leading the Skynet team in Poland to scale a high-performing engineering organization and improve developer productivity with an accent on Kubernetes platform evolution and PaaS stability. Focus on designing scalable infrastructure, managing production clusters across public clouds, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Location: Hybrid in Poland (minimum 3 days per week in office)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of experienced engineers in Poland through coaching, 1:1s, and career planning.
• Define the team's roadmap and execution plans, taking full ownership of project delivery.
• Manage production Kubernetes clusters on major public cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Collaborate with product teams to scope new features and provide technical estimates.
• Coordinate on-call rotations and drive improvements to minimize system disruptions.
• Cultivate a culture of excellence through emphasis on execution, quality, and scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering with 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals and ecosystem tools such as Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, and Prometheus.
• Experience managing production Kubernetes clusters on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization.
• Must be based in Poland and able to work from the office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant Kubernetes environments or platform engineering.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud-native platforms (OPA/Gatekeeper, workload identity, network policies).
