What you will do

• Own the solution architecture for a headless agentic backend using Python and FastAPI deployed on Cloud Run.
• Design multi-step 'reason-and-act' logic, incorporating RAG and Text-to-SQL patterns over BigQuery and document stores.
• Drive direct, pay-per-token integration with Vertex AI Search and Gemini models.
• Lead prompt engineering, routing logic, and the design of human-in-the-loop validation workflows.
• Define evaluation methodologies and quality monitoring for AI outputs against golden datasets.
• Provide technical leadership to other AI/ML engineers and author architecture and scaling documentation.

Requirements

• Strong Python expertise and hands-on experience building LLM/agentic backends with FastAPI.
• Deep experience with Vertex AI (Search and Gemini models) and direct LLM API integration.
• Expertise in RAG, Text-to-SQL, prompt engineering, and hallucination mitigation.
• Experience deploying serverless services on Cloud Run and exposing production REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of evaluation methodology and quality monitoring for GenAI outputs.
• Proven technical leadership, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication.
