Data Scientist (AI)

Location: New York City, NY; Seattle, WA; or San Francisco, CA. Hybrid policy requires staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office attendance.

Annual salary: $285,000–$380,000 USD.

What you will do

• Define platform success metrics, measurement frameworks, and core reporting.
• Analyze product and usage data to identify growth opportunities and influence platform roadmaps.
• Design controlled experiments and apply causal inference methods, including synthetic controls, to evaluate platform changes.
• Investigate anomalies, perform root-cause analyses, and guide product, engineering, and go-to-market priorities.
• Build statistical models, optimization frameworks, and simulations for operational and decision-making processes.
• Establish foundational data practices and scalable analytics infrastructure while communicating recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Expertise in experimental design, causal inference, statistical modeling, and A/B testing.
• Experience partnering with Product or Engineering teams on API or developer-facing products.
• Demonstrated ability to influence product roadmaps and strategy through data.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• 6+ years of experience in data science or analytics.
• Experience supporting B2B sales teams with data insights.
• Experience with AI/ML products, large language models, or developer tools.
• Understanding of product adoption, engagement, and retention in developer or enterprise contexts.
• Experience operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
