What you will do

• Own the full-cycle recruitment process, from creating job descriptions to closing top-tier candidates.
• Proactively source talent through inbound and outbound channels, including LinkedIn.
• Partner with hiring managers to define talent needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
• Implement and manage lightweight HR processes for onboarding, compliance, and performance.
• Maintain accurate employee data and documentation within the HRIS.
• Act as a key culture-builder and advisor to leadership on people-related matters.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• 2–5 years of experience in HR, people operations, or talent acquisition, preferably in SaaS or startups.
• Proven ability to build or redefine HR functions from the ground up.
• Familiarity with Canadian labor laws and employee lifecycle best practices.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for advising leadership.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to handle ambiguity and take full ownership.

Nice to have

• HR certifications such as CHRP.
• Experience with U.S. labor laws.
