What you will do
- Own the full-cycle recruitment process, from creating job descriptions to closing top-tier candidates.
- Proactively source talent through inbound and outbound channels, including LinkedIn.
- Partner with hiring managers to define talent needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
- Implement and manage lightweight HR processes for onboarding, compliance, and performance.
- Maintain accurate employee data and documentation within the HRIS.
- Act as a key culture-builder and advisor to leadership on people-related matters.
Requirements
- Must be based in Canada
- 2–5 years of experience in HR, people operations, or talent acquisition, preferably in SaaS or startups.
- Proven ability to build or redefine HR functions from the ground up.
- Familiarity with Canadian labor laws and employee lifecycle best practices.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for advising leadership.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to handle ambiguity and take full ownership.
Nice to have
- HR certifications such as CHRP.
- Experience with U.S. labor laws.
