TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (GCP): Designing and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform for high-security government environments with an accent on infrastructure automation and cloud security. Focus on developing IaC with Terraform, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance with federal security standards like FedRAMP and NIST.

Location: Hybrid, On-site 4 days/week in Washington, D.C.

What you will do

• Design and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using GCP services.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
• Automate, integrate, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with federal security standards, including FedRAMP and NIST.
• Collaborate with software engineers and government stakeholders to optimize deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain SLAs.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years focused on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with GKE, Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, and BigQuery.
• Strong proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux systems.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts and understanding of ATO processes.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
