Solutions Engineer (Observability)

TL;DR

Solutions Engineer (Observability): Designing and validating observability and security solutions for customers with an accent on logs, metrics, traces, and Kubernetes. Focus on leading technical evaluations, deploying and configuring the platform in cloud-native environments, and translating technical value into business impact.

Location: Hybrid (1-2 days per week in office), Boston, MA

Compensation: $220,000 to $250,000 OTE

What you will do

• Own the technical strategy for sales opportunities in partnership with Account Executives.
• Lead discovery across customer architecture, telemetry sources, operational pain, and business drivers.
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations that connect hirify.global to real customer use cases.
• Manage technical evaluations and POCs from initial scope through to final validation.
• Support hands-on deployment, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting during evaluations.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to represent field feedback and improve product win rates.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on technical ability across deployment, configuration, and integration work.
• Solid understanding of observability, including logs, metrics, traces, APM, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Practical experience with cloud-native environments, distributed systems, and containers.
• Coding or scripting experience in Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, Bash, or similar.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Boston, MA office (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenTelemetry.
• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Terraform, Helm, or CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with SIEM, security monitoring, or RUM.
