What you will do

• Support international CWOA departments on worldwide projects and business opportunities.
• Identify and negotiate new business opportunities to meet sales and net profit targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the existing client base and identify new development opportunities in Greater China.
• Provide expertise for client enquiries and deliver bespoke solutions to consigners within corporate governance.
• Prepare proposals and valuations for insurance purposes.
• Contribute to catalogue production and object cataloguing to the highest professional standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Business Getting and specialized expertise in Chinese Works of Art (CWOA).
• Fluency in English and Cantonese or Mandarin is essential, including the ability to read and write Traditional Chinese.
• In-depth knowledge of the CWOA market, archives, reference sources, and restoration techniques.
• An established network of contacts within the Chinese art market.
• Functional working knowledge of the complete auction process, shipping regulations, VAT, and compliance.
• Degree-level education or equivalent.
