What you will do

• Design and own end-to-end technical solutions and architecture for Defence sector customers.
• Collaborate with Sales and Bid teams to respond to public and private sector proposals.
• Translate business requirements into practical design documents, roadmaps, and governance structures.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to delivery teams to ensure outcomes meet customer needs.
• Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture and secure-by-design standards.
• Mentor colleagues and support continuous improvement within the architecture team.

Requirements

• Experience in designing end-to-end technical solutions for enterprise networking and service provider environments.
• Strong background in telecommunications and connectivity systems.
• Knowledge of cloud/hosted technologies and their integration into wider architectures.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure-by-design methodologies.
• Ability to create professional bid documents and technical recommendations.
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (minimum 5 years UK residency required).

Nice to have

• Experience working within the defence industry or highly secure environments.
• Knowledge of model-based system engineering (MBSE).
• Experience with boundary protection and network security architectures.
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF or vendor-specific architecture certifications.
