What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using TypeScript, Node.js, and MongoDB.
• Architect storage solutions for structured and unstructured financial data to ensure performance and reliability.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, improving throughput and reducing latency at scale.
• Deploy and monitor services on AWS using best practices for observability and fault tolerance.
• Drive technical excellence through clean code, thorough testing, and high-standard code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, platform, and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Extensive experience developing data pipelines in TypeScript or a comparable strongly-typed language.
• Expertise with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases, including data modeling and query optimization.
• Proficiency with cloud storage, monitoring services, and CI/CD workflows.
• Track record of writing well-tested, reliable code and driving engineering best practices.
• Must be based in Canada (specifically Ontario or Quebec).

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial services or wealth management industry.
• Experience with Vector Search or RAG-based systems.
• Familiarity with Temporal.io or similar workflow orchestration platforms.
• Knowledge of Python for backend scripting and search indexing (e.g., Elasticsearch).
