What you will do

• Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) to support hybrid and cloud migration strategies.
• Develop migration patterns (rehost, refactor, re-platform) and lead end-to-end workload migrations to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates for VMware and cloud-native environments.
• Manage core VMware components including vSAN, NSX, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure seamless connectivity and workload mobility.
• Create detailed technical documentation, migration runbooks, and architectural reference designs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of overall IT infrastructure/systems experience and 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep expertise in VMware technologies including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, and vSAN.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Working knowledge of security frameworks like NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
• Must be based in the USA; ability to travel up to 10%.

• Active cloud certifications such as AWS Certified (Associate or Professional), Microsoft Azure Certified, or Google Cloud Professional Engineer.
