What you will do

• Lead AMR and material automation deployments from planning through launch and stabilization, including scope definition and buyoff.
• Serve as the primary interface with strategic suppliers to ensure adherence to GM standards and key launch milestones.
• Manage program timing, risks, and open issues, providing clear status updates to plant and executive leadership.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, industrial engineering, and logistics teams to deliver scalable material flow automation.
• Troubleshoot deployment and integration issues and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for future automation and support phased deployment roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing, industrial automation, or robotics deployment.
• Proven experience leading the implementation of automation systems in a plant environment.
• Experience managing suppliers, integrators, or OEM partners to deliver technical projects on schedule.
• Working knowledge of AMRs or other automated material handling technologies (AFTs, ASRS).
• Ability to work onsite in a plant environment five days per week.
• No immigration sponsorship provided.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying AMRs at scale, including fleet management, routing, and charging strategy.
• Background in General Assembly, material execution, or lean material launch strategy.
• PMP or other project/program management certification.
