What you will do

• Administer and support Windows and Linux-based systems including service management and system updates.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers in physical and virtual environments.
• Ensure system integrity and performance through proactive monitoring, hardening, and tuning.
• Automate tasks and implement infrastructure-as-code using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
• Support virtualization environments and containerized services.
• Integrate Linux systems into hybrid cloud environments and provide Active Directory support.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration in a production environment.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals, systemd, and the boot process.
• Proficiency in automation scripting (Bash, Python, or Ansible).
• Experience with virtualization platforms and storage configuration.
• Familiarity with Windows Server administration and Active Directory.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Exposure to security frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, STIGs, or NIST 800-53.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Security+.
