What you will do

• Administer and troubleshoot lab workstations, edge compute nodes, and network infrastructure.
• Support the deployment, networking, and identity integration of laboratory instruments and automated platforms.
• Maintain accurate asset records in the CMDB and manage device lifecycles and labeling.
• Develop and maintain standardized device catalogs and golden images for laboratory computing equipment.
• Operate dedicated lab network infrastructure, including switches and access points, ensuring segmentation standards.
• Coordinate all lab-impacting technology changes through established approval channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 3 to 7 years of IT systems administration experience in specialized environments (labs, manufacturing, or healthcare).
• Must be able to work on-site at laboratory locations in Cambridge, MA.
• Proficiency in Windows administration, networking fundamentals (VLANs, DHCP, DNS), and identity platforms (Okta, AD, Entra ID).
• Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, JAMF, SCCM) and ITSM/CMDB platforms.
• Strong communication skills to effectively bridge technical concepts between scientists and executives.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in biotech or pharmaceutical labs with automated equipment (e.g., robotic arms, sequencers).
• Exposure to OT/Industrial environments, PLCs, SCADA, or Purdue Model concepts.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN platforms (Cato Networks) and OT security tools (Claroty, Tenable OT).
• Experience with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, or ISO 9001 regulatory frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, M365, or ITIL Foundation.
