What you will do

• Expand the architecture for Logistics and Complaints systems, including order creation, ERP, and shipper integrations.
• Architect and build scalable services to support global operations and future growth.
• Write testable, readable, and high-performance code with a focus on reliability.
• Coach team members and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the best feature implementations.
• Evolve core systems that drive brand offerings across multiple international markets.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Professional production-grade experience, preferably in Ruby.
• Experience with distributed architecture or applications spanning multiple regions.
• Strong testing mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Lisbon office (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience splitting up monolithic applications.
• Willingness to work with other stacks such as Elixir and Python.
• Comfort leveraging AI tools while maintaining critical thinking and validation.
