What you will do

• Design and own the ingestion architecture moving data from 20+ enterprise source systems into the AWS Marketing Data Layer.
• Define scalable ingestion patterns across 18 business and data domains for legacy and direct integrations.
• Architect data contracts, including schema standards, versioning, SLAs, and data quality requirements.
• Design and optimize AWS S3 data lake structures and Lake Formation access controls.
• Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) and streaming ingestion patterns to support near-real-time data freshness.
• Translate logical architecture into technical specifications for distributed and nearshore engineering teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform architecture.
• 3+ years of experience in a Data Architect or Solution Architect capacity.
• Expertise with AWS services: Glue, S3, Lake Formation, and Athena.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and PySpark.
• Deep knowledge of modern data lake architecture, CDC, and streaming-based ingestion.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments with complex, multi-source data ecosystems.
